The first edition of SafeWork® Days 2025, the exclusive event organized by GIS International, concluded with great success on May 23–24 at the prestigious Mangia’s Brucoli – Autograph Collection Hotel (Marriott Group).
Two intense days filled with technical insights, constructive discussions, and experience sharing allowed participants to explore key topics surrounding industrial safety procedures in depth.
The initiative welcomed distinguished speakers and industry professionals from leading companies in the industrial sector such as Sonatrach RI, ISAB GOI Energy, Sasol Italy, Sarpom API IP, RAM Milazzo, Merck Serono, B2G Sicily, Alma Petroli, STMicroelectronics and Enel Produzione, to name just a few. Central themes included the digitalization of Permits to Work, integration with advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, and ATEX-certified devices, and the legal implications and opportunities related to the geolocation of personnel within industrial plants.
The agenda was enriched by the contributions of legal experts and institutional figures who provided a holistic and pragmatic perspective on all the topics discussed. We extend our sincere thanks to Eng. Gian Piero Reale, President of Confindustria Siracusa, and to Lawyer Lorenzo Fantini and Lawyer Alessandro Mastromatteo from Studio Santacroce for their valuable insights.
We are deeply grateful to our partners for their invaluable support, full collaboration, and strong technical contributions, including:
- Our Premium Partners: safe MOBILE, Industrial Scientific, and RE.M.IN.
- Our Technology Partners: Blackline Safety and Igeam Consulting
The two roundtable discussions, moderated by GIS International General Manager Dr. Pietro L. Nudo, provided a platform for strategic reflection and a shared vision on the future of safety and privacy in industrial settings.
The event was also the perfect opportunity to showcase the full potential of SafeWork®, now a benchmark solution for digitalizing Work Permits in complex industrial environments. With the launch of SafeWork® 7, the platform introduced significant advancements, such as the digitalization of interference risk analysis and the integration of Artificial Intelligence features to streamline the Permit to Work compilation process.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, speakers, sponsors, and partners who made this important gathering possible.
A special mention goes to Dr. Ernesto Nudo, President of GIS International, whose entrepreneurial spirit has guided the company since its founding—none of this would have been possible without his vision.
